Ticket sales start on September 27 at 10:00am London time for all shows, concert organisers Barracuda Music (https://www.barracudamusic.at ) announce via Events (www.events.ro ).
Currently touring the world to promote his album ‘Divide’, Ed is not only one of the most successful contemporary artists, but also one of the most in-demand. On this summer’s UK tour, Ed played to over 1.1 million fans, including four nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, making it the biggest ever UK tour by a solo artist.
Ed Sheeran – the world’s biggest-selling artist in 2017 (IFPI) – released his third Grammy-winning studio album ‘÷’ (Divide) last March. The singer-songwriter of an entire generation, Ed has continued to dominate music charts around the world since the album’s release. With sales of over 15.5 million albums to date worldwide, ‘÷’ (Divide) has spawned the hits ‘Shape of You’ (the third best-selling single of all time in the UK and the most streamed track on Spotify), ‘Castle on the Hill’, ‘Galway Girl’, the No. 1 Christmas hit of 2017 in the UK, ‘Perfect’ and ‘Happier’. Sheeran released his debut album, ‘+’ (Plus) in 2011, which sold 10 million units and included the UK’s biggest-selling debut track of that year, “The A Team”. In 2014, he returned with his critically acclaimed second album, ‘x’ (Multiply), which included the global hit “Thinking Out Loud”. ‘x’ reached No. 1 on the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and was recognized as one of the best-selling albums of all time by The Official Charts Company – to date, that album has sold 16 million copies worldwide and has been certified platinum 90 times for sales.
At the end of 2017, Ed was awarded the Order of Excellence of the British Empire for his services to the fields of music and charity. He has won a wide range of awards throughout his career, including 4 Grammy Awards, 4 Ivor Novello Awards, 5 BRIT Awards, 6 Billboard Awards – and many more.
